![]() Dark days, Commander: it appears these creatures are capable of manipulating our very minds. Given a few more hours, he might well have finished the job. It emerged that one of my scientists had slipped into a trance during the interrogation and surreptitiously begin building a bomb large enough to blow up half the facility. Alarmed, I called a halt to the experiment and had the captive terminated. During the questioning of our captive, I could not help but notice the interrogation team becoming steadily less adversarial – indeed after six hours, they had almost become friendly. I have little doubt the task will be difficult. We must capture alive, whatever the cost may be. Interrogation of the lizard leader tells us the real alien bosses are something called “praetors”. The aliens leave us alone for a good week. Thankfully our very last sleepy-gas grenade does the trick: for whatever reason the leader doesn’t move out of its way and, after several turns, collapses. Assaulting them is dangerous, but nowhere near as dangerous as more cunning alien species that have a tendency to rush out as you get close. The UFO’s leader and some of his crew cower on the bridge, moving only to get out of the way of sleepy-gas grenades. Partly it’s luck – there are plenty of lizards and harridans carrying plasma cannons but they don’t get much opportunity to fire.Īnd partly it’s due to Spirit Wolf, which blows everything up with its plasma cannon.
